I live in Scottsdale, AZ and travel a few months each year to exhibits, events, and residencies. I have been a frequent visitor to Arizona since early childhood where I became fascinated by desert life. Most of the conferences where I speak or attend have a technology or sciene purpose. Both areas enrich and inspire my art.
I use robots as a tool to enhance the mark making in my paintings. The robots can achieve mathematical precision in curves and still be able to control exposure to beneficial random and accidental marks.
The strongest part of my art background is the years I studied with Chen Ting-shih, an internationally renown painter while living in Taiwan.
